Our city is one of the leading fashion and design centres of the world - so the annual Paris Design Week, between 6 and 13 September, is a chance to see the latest, most innovative work of some of the world's finest creative minds, and it comes highly recommended by all of us at Hotel L'Interlude.

"Paris is the capital of new things," says one young designer, "so this is the place where new things should be shown." In a sentence he sums up what Paris Design Week is about. In galleries and other venues all over the city, you will see the latest in furniture, appliances, vehicles and even food.

For young designers, Paris Design Week is about presence, visibility and a springboard to greater things. For visitors, this is the chance to see exciting ideas that may come to change our lives in the future.

There are some 180 exhibition spaces to explore, with 250 participants and more than 10,000 visitors expected. Take a stroll and follow the Paris Design Week signs. You may come across the work of an established designer at a major store, or find an up-and-coming talent just out of design school at an out-of-the-way gallery.
