Have you chosen us for your stay in Paris? Good news: the Bois de Vincennes public park and its extensive and beautiful green spaces are less than 1 km from the Hotel Interlude! That means you can enjoy some lovely walks this autumn, while scrupulously respecting the current social distancing measures.

Bois de Vincennes, a green escape from lockdown

The Bois de Vincennes, a former royal hunting preserve, is very popular with Parisians for its trees, gardens and other green spaces and its four lakes bordered by weeping willows, where model boat enthusiasts gather to enjoy their hobby. Interlinked by nearly 8 km of streams, these bodies of water separate sections of ancient woodland forests which contain many walking routes. There are also sports courses, ideal for staying in shape at any age. With 38 drinking water points and as many picnic tables, the Bois de Vincennes is an open invitation to enjoy a snack amidst bucolic surroundings, a very pleasant prospect during the current lockdown period. And if you want to bring your faithful companion (who is welcome in our hotel!), it’s no problem as the wood also has areas accessible to dogs.

How to reach this park from the hotel

The Bois de Vincennes is located on the Route de la Pyramide, very close to the Château de Vincennes stop for Metro line 1. Three Vélib' bicycle rental stations give you the opportunity to get around via pedal power. One station is at the entrance to the floral park, the second on the Route de l'Artillerie and the last near the RER station. The Bois de Vincennes is open to the public 24/7, so whenever you wish to take a stroll, there’s nothing to prevent you from enjoying its verdant loveliness.
