‘A Summer in Paris’ could be the title of the film of your 2017 holiday in the capital, but it’s also the promise of all the events, activities and surprises that you can enjoy in the city this season. The arrival of the Tour de France, Paris Beaches, outdoor cinema screenings at La Villette and the Rock en Seine music festival... the Hotel Interlude tells all...

Cheer the climax of the Tour de France on the Champs-Elysées

Having begun their battle on July 1st, the world’s greatest cyclists will finish their long journey with a final sprint on Sunday, July 23rd along the world’s most beautiful avenue. This 104th Tour de France will end after 21 stages and a total of 3,540 km. Will the British and the Germans, known as the best sprinters, find their dominance challenged? To find out who will stand triumphant on the podium, head for the Champs-Elysées on July 23rd, 2017!

Exit the jerseys, enter Paris-Plages

A heat wave has blown its torrid breath across this early summer and the remainder of the season is forecast to remain pleasingly hot. It’s a good thing, then, that as of July 8th and through to September 3rd, 2017, four sites in Paris have been transformed into pleasant seaside-style resorts, courtesy of Paris Plages. The Berges de Seine on the Left Bank, the Voie Georges Pompidou, the Hôtel de Ville and the Bassin de la Villette with its gigantic swimming pool invite you to spread out your towel or get comfortable on a sunbed.

Open air movie festival in La Vilette, a well-planned programme

The 27th edition of the outdoor movie festival called Cinéma en Plein Air de la Villette will be sure to make your mouth water as the theme this year is cooking. So now you know the menu, come along and enjoy the feast. Settle in a deckchair (to rent at €7 from 19:30) or spread out on the grass to enjoy a wide-ranging programme of great films from July 20th to August 20th, 2017, all for free. Note that all films are in their original language versions.

The Rock en Seine Festival, the music event of the summer

From Friday, August 25th to Sunday, August 27th, 2017, the magical setting of the Domaine National de Saint Cloud will resonate with the best rock, pop and electro sounds. The Rock en Seine Festival is the perfect remedy for the end of holiday blues, combining the immediacy of the hottest contemporary music with concerts by long established bands and performers. Are you coming with your family? Be aware that the event also includes the Mini Rock en Seine, a festival aimed at young children with the purpose of introducing them to the joys of rock. (Free admission for children up to 10 years old accompanied by an adult with a ticket).
